Update
This cafe closed in late May 2026. The external signs have been
removed, and there's a big sign in the window saying to visit their new
location in Quay Street, with "opening soon" in small letters in the
corner. (Details of their new location will be added once the
doors are open.)
Originally
Galway's newest Starbucks cafe eventually opened in the last full week of
October 2023, after teasing people in local media and advertorial sites for
a good few weeks.
It's located in Edward Square, next to the Dunne's Stores entrance, in a converted shop that was previously a Miss Selfridge clothing store, before the parent company, Arcadia Ltd closed down.
Like any Starbucks, the coffee is great, and comes with lots of options. The food is their standard menu. The decor is well - a Starbucks. There's a small amount of outdoor seating, which comes with plenty of people-watching opportunities.
Days / hour are to be advised.
