This interestingly-named, Danish-owned, branded-goods
discount store
opened their first Galway outlet on Tuesday 2 September 2026, at 9am.
It's located upstairs in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, in the unit that was
previously Born ladieswear - and before that Burger King, and Cafe Kylemore
even longer ago. This has has a very thorough makeover, which
started even before they installed Normal signs on the windows in early
July.
Products are said to be "many of the brands you already know and love ... [and] plenty of new and
exciting brand for the adventurous". The aim is to sell
ordinary, every-day items at competitive, consistently-low prices. These include skincare, makeup, haircare and personal care products,
and food and drink items. They also have some branded items which
are exclusive to Normal.
(And no, they have nothing to do with the other "Norml" which is a US-based
advocacy organisation, not a discount shop!)
Initial opening days and hours
For the first day, they advertising hours of 9am - 8:30pm, but the shopping
centre closed at 7pm.
Monday to Wednesday, and Saturday: 9am to 7pm
Thursday and Friday 9am to 9pm
Sunday: 11am to 7pm
