Being replaced by a new shop in the Dunnes Stores Terryland complex.

Stitches is Galway's longest-running clothing-alterations service.
They originally opened in the early 1980s in Francis Street, then moved around
the corner to Mary Street, before settling in to a light-filled shop near the
bottom of Eyre Street where they stayed for 20 years.
In 2020, new owners took over the business, and at the end of August 2022
it moved up the street to a larger shop that was previously Yourells
hair salon - next door to Carnival Supermarket. As well as
expanding the space for clothing repairs and alterations, this move also let
them expanded to provide fabrics and haberdashery supplies as well as clothes
alterations and acting as a local dry-cleaning company drop-offs.
