Cafe Temple

Update: Cafe Temple closed at the end of June 2022.

Temple Cafe is the latest café to open in the premises which used to house the hideous Orange and the garlic-heavy Cosmo.

The vibe and flavour combinations are much improved, and they've cracked the problem of paying sign-holders too.

It's a social business (it donates profits to various good causes) inspired by a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, so got some good publicity when it opened - and that seems to have turned into a plenty of happy customers.

Very little change to the decor this time around - just a few touches to make it different. Furniture made out of pallets does the trick - but the tables and chairs are more comfy than that!

And some nice clear communications about how to order:

The whole place now has a distinctly modern-day hippy feeling:  yes, there are organic beetroot burgers (not kidding) - but they served me a BLT without grimacing, and managed a croissant, too.

Open 8am - 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday.

Address:   The Cornstore, St Augustine St
Phone:        091 568 775
