They're located on the ground floor shop next to Blake's Castle, on the corner
of Quay Street and Kirwan's Lane. This was a Costa cafe prior to the
Covid-closedown in 2020, and remained closed until a local company purchased
the building and did a very tasteful job renovating it as a retail
store. This building is just around the corner from their
original store in Quay Lane - and immediately opposite the Aran Sweater Mart
shop.
Aimed mainly at tourists, many of their products make beautiful gifts for
locals too: they include a wide range of woven clothing, caps and hats,
ponchos and capes, scarves blankets, tweeds, cushions, throws - from some of
Ireland's best known weaving specialists including Mucros Weavers, Branigan
Weavers, Jack Murphy, Jimmy Hourihan, Aran Sweater Mart, Dubarry Of Ireland,
Foxford Woollen Mills, Celtic Tweeds, John Hanly & Co, Kerry Woollen Mills
and more.
Open seven days a week, exact hours to be advised.
(The website isn't updated and the signs aren't up on the outside as
yet. But the colour scheme matches their other stores, and brochures
inside are from Weavers of Ireland.)
