Golden Discs opened a record-store in Eyre Square, Galway in mid-November 2021
- approximately 15 years after their previous Galway city branch in Eglinton
Street closed.
The new music shop is in a historic unit which back in the day was a
garage / motor-car repair shop, and you can still see touches of this in the
building shape. Most most recently it was Dunnes Stores
off-licence and before that their label brands clothing store.
It's next-door to the Galway Advertiser offices, and the Christmas Market in
November/ December, and Devaney's Saddlery stall for the rest of the year.
Products include traditional vinyl LPs, as well as CDs, DVD, Blu Ray,
3D, 4U UHD, and a range of music-related hardware including turntables,
headphones, earphones and speakers.
