Originally located in Dominick Street, AlterEva clothing alterations moved into Upper Abbeygate Street in the third week of March 2023.
They're in a building that was previously offices for Galway Real Estate, in between AWOL Tattos and Icon Barbershop, and just up the street from Public Romance vintage fashions: perfect for making final touches to a sustainable outfit that's not quite right.
Locally owned, they offer a complete tailoring and alterations service, changing zips, shortening, trousers, skirts, dresses, coats and more, wedding and evening dress alterations, soft furnishings, as well as interesting fabric projects like memory cushions, colouring cushions, lace decorations and more, all done by very skilled seamstresses who give great advice and deliver work on time.
Normally open 10am - 5pm Monday to Saturday - but hours do vary as needed.
