Ace was the latest in a series of operators (who could forget the bright pink Sebastian!) who opened in this small long-time barbershop at 11A Eyre Street, next to Laptec - and opening in June 2020 after the first Covid-lockdown, they're the first ones who stayed.
Sporting a young fashionable vibe, the shop they adjusted their hours, eventually settling on open 10-6pm from Mon to Sat (closed on Sundays), and operates on a walk-basis with no appointment needed.
Services include beard colouring, haircuts, shave and facial, beard-shaping, and skin fades.
But all good things must come to an end - and in mid-late (October?) 2023 , Ace quietly closed, moved out and took their name off the window:
