Bia Boru

Update:

In the first week of June 2024, Bia Boru is open again.

With new staff  initially they were running as a coffee-bar only.  Bit over a few weeks, the and food option were reintroduced.

Update:

In the 2nd week of May 2023, and for the following three weeks, Bia Boru looked remarkably closed at 9am, and indeed all day.

Originally:

This new artisan cafe and grab-and-go deli opened in the last week of September 2022.

They're based downstairs in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, in the unit and corridor space where Chopped used to be, just at the bottom of the stairs from the eastern entrance to the complex.

Made-to-order gourmet sandwiches and burgers feature on the menu, along with some tasty salad and lasagne, interesting pastries and wickedly good-looking cream cakes.

The hot drinks menu includes all the expected coffee favourites in three sizes, while the cold drinks fridge is an area for future innovation.

There's a small seating area, which has a few tables, unfortunately without any electric sockets close by.  It's complemented by a pleasingly-green artificial plant wall.

Watch this space for updates about days and hours, so far it looks like they close about 4pm, but the details usually take a few weeks to settle down.
