Moores Butchers in Terryland

Update November 2023

Moores closed in mid November 2023.  There is no notice on the shop, but they put a post on Facebook:

Hey folks! We made the tough decision to close last Sunday for good. We don't know if we will re open in the future. We are only posting now, as we are still getting our affairs in order at the moment. It was an uphill battle against rising costs all the time and we had enough of bringing stress and pressure home to the smallies. We chose to put our very young family first, after trying to put the business first for over a year. Thank you so much for your custom and we are sorry we have let you down. The shop, customers and atmosphere were amazing and all going well but behind the scenes became too much. Thank you for the memories made, lessons learned and the endless craic that was had! - Liam, Lorraine and Iain

Original listing

This family-owned butcher shop opened in the Dunnes Stores Terryland complex at the beginning of August 2022.

They're in one of the shops on the left-hand side from the complex entrance - beside Paper Chase Newagents, and previously home to a branch of Martin Divilly Butchers.

With a strong emphasis on locally grown produce, that is of local origin and supports local suppliers, they have a wide range of meat, including dry aged beef, pork chops on the bone, student specials, pre-prepared meals (around 90% are gluten free, some are also dairy free).  There is also a wide range of sauces and condiments.

Open seven days a week
