The latest Galway city branch of world-wide Costa Coffee opened 20 January
2026.
They 're in Gateway Retail Park (the same one as B&Q and
Harvey Norman) - in a new build unit near the roundabout at the entrance,
opposite Dunnes Stores. Their neighbours in the other half of the
unit are yet to be be announced, but expected to be another food/restaurant
business.
This is a great location for a cafe, and will make waiting for the bus, or for
an appointment in the nearby medical facilities a far more pleasant
experience.
The cafe is large and light-filled, with generous indoor and outdoor seating
areas, and interesting coffee-inspired artworks. Though the dining area
is large, there are some quieter corners, too.
Products are Costa's standard range of coffees / matchas - as well as the
expected pre-packed sandwiches, cakes and slices.

Mon - Wed, and Sat: 8am - 7pm
Thurs - Fri: 8am - 9pm
Sun: 10am - 6pm
