Update
The company behind Fat Tony's (Goomba Ltd) put itself into voluntary
liquidation in January 2026 (source: The Irish State gazette, Iris Oifigiúil).
Middle Street is definitely closed. Liosbaun is reportedly still
open, and being run by barbers who are self-employed and renting
chair-space. Other shops are reported closed. There
have been no social media posts, and no signs in the windows in Middle Street,
at least.

This is a personality-filled barber shop in Middle Street, which had / has
brother shops in Liosbaun, Barna, Newcastle - and perhaps other areas
too. It has all the trappings of a traditional barber-shop,
complete with a red-and-white striped rotating pole, trad-style barber chairs,
and wild-west writing on the window. In recent years, the shop in
Liosbaun has expanded into a male-themed cafe and lifestyle clothing store as
well.
