Selected Clothing opened their first Galway-city store on 25 August 2022, following in the steps of their other Irish stores in Dundrum, Swords, Limerick and originally Cork.Their products are from the Scandinavian fashion brands, SELECTED FEMME (ie women) and SELECTED HOMME (men). They are part of the Danish family-owned fashion company, BESTSELLER, which was set up in 1975 and operates over 20 fashion brands worldwide, with branded shops, multi-brands shops and concessions in department stores in Europe, The Middle East, the Americas, India and Australia.
In Ireland, they have a big focus on fashion, sustainability and customer service - partly driven by the challenges of operating thru the Covid-19 restrictions. It's a premium store: these are fashions for adults, at prices which reflect the quality of the garments.
The Galway store is based in the former Warehouse fashions unit in Edward Square - next door to Treasure Chest gifts and along from the original Pascal cafe.
The shopfitting is stylish though understated, nicely reflecting the Selected
brand, and their presence beings a welcome lift to this section of the city.
