Emerald and Wax

This designer clothing and gift store opened on Culture Night, 19 September 2025.

 It's located in Dominick Street, in the unit that was previously the Sustainable Studio, and then briefly a pop-up Arts Festival gallery for accessories artist, Margaret O'Connor.   The shop has a new interior, and had been painted in a warm and inviting mustard shade, which complements both Carrols pub next door, and the historic stone townhouse that they're located in.

Focusing on items that are made locally and ethically in Ireland, Emerald and Wax products include kimonos, jackets, trouser and accessories based on vibrant African prints and traditional textiles, inspired by the elegant simplicity of Japanese architecture and the rich cultural exchange between Africa and Japan.

The shop aims to be a place where

 where cultural storytelling, ethical craftsmanship, and radiant self-expression converge to create a world where beauty and purpose walk hand in hand.

Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm

Sunday:  12-noon to 4pm
