The new Lighthouse Cafe had a soft opening on 15 June 2026, ahead of the grand-opening planned for the following Wednesday.
It's located in Upper Abbeygate Street, in the same premises as the former Jemi Lighthouse, which was previously also the Lighthouse Cafe. But with totally new management, a new fit-out inside, a new menu which includes non-vegetarian items, and a bold new colour-scheme, it seemed appropriate to give it a whole new listing.
Interna redecoration includes some inspirational and coffee-bases quips, luxurious lighting and making good use of the limited space, with new matching furniture. As before there, some outdoor seating, and a very welcome canopy.
The coffee menu includes hot and iced options, with add-on options including extra-spicy chai, and an intriguing honey-nut cappuccino. There are also a range of fruit matchas, and many interesting fresh juice and smoothie options. Sandwiches include two each of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as chicken and beef. And there's an excellent range of cakes and sweet treats, too.
