Update
There have been no official announcement or signs put on the door - but
Coady's Costcutter stopped opening sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.
Some, but not all, stock has been removed, some shelving is in disarray, and the front door has been covered with a large, out-of-character Costcutter banner.

This dock-side convenience store and market-deli/cafe opened in the second week of September 2024.
They're the first retail shop to open in the Bonham Quay complex. The
shop is in the Santiago building, right on the street-front where Queen
Street meets Dock Road and St Nicholas' Street, across the road from Lavelle's
Pharmacy. This building, more proasically known as Block B, has Diligent
as an anchor tenant, with Gensys next door in block C / Alcántara.
This is also across the street from the harbourside car-parking paypoint, and
down from the currently-under-construction Queen Street Place student
accommodation complex.
Opening products are strongly focussed towards foods rather than more general
groceries, with large in-store and self-service deli sections, grab and go
sandwiches, dips and spreads from
The Galway Kitchen
and gourmet coffee from
Urban Sips.
In-store facilities include a seating / cafe area, wifi-, toilets and an
ATM.
Initial opening hours are
Monday - Friday: 7am - 9pm
