This new cafe concept, which is Galway's first Indian street food restaurant,
officially opened on 3 December 2025.
Masala Chai Cafe is located in Liosbaun Industrial Estate, in the unit which
was simply just Bare Pantry - just along from Fat Tony's + coffee, and across
from Haven pharmacy.
The decor is largely unchanged, with the addition of some India-themed
artworks, while the menu aims to offer dishes that are organic, locally
sourced and sustainable. There is an interesting combination of
Irish breakfast dishes, and street-food from the south of India

Open seven days a week, with dosas served from 4-8pm
