This passionate local business opened their first small pie-shop in Cross Street in 2012 - in a premises that was previously home to The Frame Maker.
Despite having a very small dining area, they became incredibly popular: their opening menu included savoury treats like aubergine, kale, goat's cheese and pistachio, sausage, black pudding, leek and sherry pie, chorizo, mozzarella and pesto pie, and beef and 8-degreees stout pie. All were served with either mash, mushy peas, red cabbage an gravy, or an organic leafy salad. There was also a smaller range of less-adventurous sweet dessert pies. And as the months went by, many more combinations were tried.
The shop became incredibly popular, and in 2019 they moved a couple of doors to the corner-site that was once-upon-a-time Petticoat Lady lingerie shop and the and over the years briefly home to Revive High Street, Peeka-Boo ice-creams, the Latin Quarter wine bar, and more. This was a great improvement, and gave them a lovely dining room with great street views.
Unfortunately Covid closed business for months at a time from March 2020, and in July they announced they were permanently closed in that location.
