Pick'nPay, Eyre Square Shopping Centre

Galway's favourite vape-shop opened a new branch in mid July 2025, this time right inside the Eyre Square Shopping Centre. 

They're located upstairs,  along from Starbucks, in half of the space that A Look Fashions used to occupy.

Products are much the same as in the original store:  vapes, sweets, chrisps and soft-drinks/minerals - with perhaps a smaller range due to the smaller shop.

Opening hours

 To be advised, but probably very similar to the shopping centre hours, which are mostly:

Mon - Wed, 8:30am to 7pm

Thurs- Fri 8:30am -8 pm

Sat:   8:30am to 7pm

Sun:  11am to 7pm

A-Look

This teeen-fashions store was located upstairs in the Eyre Square Shopping Cenrtre, along the corridor from Starbucks.

It closed on 14 June 2025 - shortly after a planning notice about converting the shop into two smaller units was displayed.  Fixtures, fittings and mannequins were for sale.   However the sign also says that they are re-opening on Monday 30th June.

Cafe Olê

This new cafe opened their doors to share a touch of Spanish sunshine in the top corner of Eyre Square on Friday 8 November 2024, just in time for the Christmas market.

They're in the small shop which was previously Mizzoni's Pizzas.  This has been extensively renovated to provide a nice amount of comfortable cafe seating, including one front-window spot which gives a great view of the square.   A customer toilet is available - and the door is beside a nicely displayed set of local paintings.   Technically this is at 40 Rosemary Avenue, but it's an Eyre Square address for all practical purposes.

It's an independent cafe, serving Blue Moon coffee in all the expected ways, and a lovely range of cakes which are made in-house, as well as a few others which are gluten free.

Menswear Warehouse

Update, December 2024

With minimal fuss, sometime in mid/late December the stock was packed up and a simple, handwritten "we're closed" sign was stuck on the door.

This menswear warehouse clearance sale pop-up-shop opened on Friday 25 October 2024.

Initially advertised by the in Eyre Square Shopping Centre and described as being "near the entrance to Dunnes", it's actually located in Edward Square, opposite Therapie clinic.

They're in the premises that was  previously hoe to Selected /Femme / Homme, but it's not immediately clear what branded clothing is for sale.

Kingdom of Sweets

This pick-and-mix sweets franchise opened in a pop up stall in the upper level of the Eyre Square Shopping Centre on 31 July 2024 - near BPerfect cosmetics.

They offer a very wide range of non-branded sweets, with the ability to buy any quantity of each item.

Beautyphile Nail Bar

Sharing a name and colour-scheme with Beautyphile Nail Boutique, but operating as a separate business, Beautyphile Nail Bar opened downstairs in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre on Sunday 5 May 2024.

They're located in the prominent corner unit that used to be home to Giftworks - next door to Over the Moon and across from Claires accessories.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am-7pm each day with a late night on Thursday and Friday.

Services include manicures and pedicures, regular file and polish, shellac, acrylic gels, French tips, BIAB, refills and extensions - and of course removals.   Nail Art is available - ask for a quote.   There are also special prices for gentlemen and children.

Gatto Rosso - Eyre Square

This new-to-Galway Italian restaurant is located in the Georgian houses at the west end of Eyre Square, next to the Skeffington Arms hotel, in the unit which was previously a Spar shop. 

It opened in June 2021, during the outdoor-dining-only period following the Covid-19 level 5 closedown - but there's plenty of indoor dining space too.

The menu is everything you'd expect:  pizza, pasta and more, and the vibe is cheerful and welcoming - bringing a welcoming dining option to this side of the city-centre, close to the bus and train stations.
