The Witches Closet (previously Sacred Wings)

This angel, holistic and spiritual store opened the 2nd week of September 2025, and originally had signs and social media saying they would be called Sacred Wings.

However no sign has gone up outside, and it looks like the social media have moved on to the new name, The Witches Closet"

They're located in Middle Street, in the shop-unit that was previously home to Wicked Vibes vape-shop - and it looks like some of the shop-fittings have stayed in place.

With roots set in Irish paganism, the products available include statues, spells, herbs, runes / stones, books and more.  As well as education about using their products for health and healing.

West Coast Herbs

This retail outlet is run by the new company, founded by a family of herbalists, and registered in early September 2023.

Their first Irish store is in Galway's Market street - across the road from the Portershed (ex Connaught Tribune office) and Kozzys barbershop.  It opened in late October 2023.

The metallic gold paint shopfront makes a real statement in the street, lifting the tone of an otherwise grey area - in the shop next to Finnegan's restaurant, which was previously Don Corleone Barbers,

Products sold in the shop are broadly described as "Cosmetic and Toilet Articles" - and are focussed items that are handmade in Galway, including herbal self-care products, creams and balms, botanical skincare, natural perfumes, artisanal soap, aromatherapy, mushrooms, herbal medicines, Ayurveda products, Chinese medicines and natural fibre clothing.

Opening days / hours are TBA.

Power Max Vitamin Shop

This healthfood shop opened in June 2022.  It was originally located downstairs in the Corbett Court (northern) end of the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, near the escalators, in a shop that that sold antiques for many years, and has more recently been a Christmas-gifts store.  Then in June 2023, they moved upstairs into the main part of the complex, in unit next to Remus Uno, which used ot be Blascoe jewellers.

Corbet Court was the first storefront of this Galway-owned Irish company which was founded in March 2020 to produce 100% natural Powermax energy bars.  These bars are hand-made using raw ingredients, are free from preservatives and colorings, have no added sugar and are vegan-friendly.

As well as their own bars, they also supply many different healthy lifestyle items, including energy drinks, protein powders, food-supplements, and Gorilla-wear clothing.

This city-centre branch in the Eyre Square Centre is located the under the elevator at the south end of the complex - where the smaller Diamonds and Gold shop used to be, between the entrance to Dunnes Stores and the XL convenience store.

It opened in mid-June 2020 - likely the first new business to open in the central-city after the Covid-19 closedown.
